WHY YOU SHOULD FAST

A 12-Day Fast to Begin 2026 with Clear Vision

As we step into 2026, we believe God is inviting us into a defining year… The Year of Significance.

This is not a declaration about status, platform, or recognition. It’s not about becoming “more important” in the eyes of the world. It’s about learning to see clearly, to recognize the value, purpose, and calling God has already placed in us, in others, and in what He is building through our church.

So many people live feeling insignificant, overlooked, or behind, not because their lives lack meaning, but because they’ve been taught to measure significance the wrong way. Culture tells us we matter when we’re seen, productive, successful, or affirmed. Over time, that distorted lens leads to exhaustion, comparison, and chasing things that never truly fulfill.

The Year of Significance is a vision correction.

It’s a return to God’s way of seeing, where faithfulness matters, obedience carries weight, and everyday life becomes sacred. When vision is corrected, nothing else has to change for everything to change.

Why a 12-Day Fast?

We’re beginning this year with a 12-Day Fast because clarity comes through consecration. Fasting is not about striving or proving anything to God, it’s about creating space to hear, see, and align.

Over these 12 days, we’re intentionally slowing down and turning down the noise so we can ask a simple, powerful prayer:

“God, help me see.”

See who I am in You.
See the significance of my obedience.
See my life as mission.
See our church as a movement.
See what You’ve been doing all along.

This fast is about posture, not perfection. Whether you’re fasting food, social media, entertainment, or another distraction, the goal is the same: to realign our hearts and sharpen our spiritual vision together.

What We’re Believing For

As we fast and pray, we’re believing God will:

• Heal distorted ways we see ourselves and others

• Break cycles of comparison, discouragement, and striving

• Awaken purpose in everyday obedience

• Unite us around a shared vision and calling

• Prepare us for a year of meaningful impact, personally and collectively

This is not a fast for hype or emotional moments. It’s a fast for clarity, alignment, and obedience.

An Invitation to the Whole Church

The Year of Significance isn’t something a few people carry, it’s something we step into together. As a church, we’re choosing to start the year with humility, expectation, and open hands, trusting that God will meet us as we seek Him.

We’re not chasing significance.
We’re learning to recognize it.
