Crossover Church ATL is a City Takers church plant operating every Sunday at 10:45a online via Facebook and YouTube Live or in person at 3462 Delmar Ln. Atlanta, GA 30331. With the growth of City Takers, discipleship has been difficult to scale to large groups such as the hundreds we work with today. A weekly gathering will provide the discipleship, belonging and community our members long for and a base to train and propel more City Takers to reach the city through outreach and evangelism.

OUR STORY

After 12 years of providing consistent service and evangelism in Atlanta, it is time to keep momentum and sustain growth by adding a weekly service. City Takers will begin weekly services as Crossover Church ATL. Crossover ATL will be a church plant of City Takers housed in a soon to come City Takers headquarters planted in Metro Atlanta.

OUR CORE VALUES

We believe Jesus is Lord.

Only Jesus gives us the motive and reason for doing all that we do. Our vision, mission, values and strategy all find their authority and context in Jesus. Surrender to Jesus’ lordship is central and vital to everything.

We serve the hurting.

The poor, the orphan, the lost , the forgotten and the broken are close to God’s heart and we want them close to ours as well. No one should feel marginalized.

We give honor.

To those we lead, we work beside, and those we follow. The cross gives every human being immeasurable worth. And we will treat people with the honor the cross displays and demands they deserve.

We preach the Gospel.

In our songs, at our services, with our words and with our lives. We celebrate and share the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ in a way people can understand without compromising the absolute truth of The Word of God.

We protect unity.

The poison of gossip, complaining, backbiting, discord and division are not welcome here. Nor will they be tolerated.

We fight for surrender.

We are on a path to see every part of our lives (speech, finances, sexuality, insecurities, fears, triumphs, etc.) conformed to the character of Christ.

We walk in humility.

Because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. We seek to agree fully with everything God says about us. False humility and overbearing pride can cripple the Church.

We embody generosity.

By actively participating in our community, selflessly offering our time, sharing our unique talents in service, and contributing our financial resources through tithes and offerings.

We are agents of change in this world.

We are designed to carry out God’s mission of new life in every aspect of our culture (business, arts + entertainment, education, media, government).

We Love God & others.

Love is the foundation for every healthy church. Jesus taught us that the greatest commandment was to love God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds, and the second is to love our neighbor as ourselves. After all, if we aren’t serving out of a genuine, sacrificial love, then all of our efforts are meaningless. Love has to be an integral part of church culture in order for our work to have value and make a lasting impact.

    We live on mission. We are missional by lifestyle. Everywhere we are is our mission field. Ministry is the overflow of what God is doing in our life and we share that wherever we are 24/7.

    We are agents of radical love that share Jesus with our neighbors through our presence, our prayers and providing for needs.

    We send church, we don’t dismiss church. We aim to create a culture of discipleship and spiritual growth that extends far beyond the walls of our church. We are committed to making a difference in our community.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in the Bible:

We acknowledge the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, as the inspired and authoritative Word of God, containing all that is necessary for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe in the Trinity:

We affirm the existence of one true God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who are equal in power, authority, and glory. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in God:

We affirm the existence of God the Father, who is the creator and sustainer of all things. He is loving, just, and merciful, and we acknowledge His role as the ultimate authority in our lives. (Matthew 6:9, John 14:16, James 1:17, Ephesians 4:6)

We believe in Jesus Christ:

We confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven. He is the only mediator between God and humanity. (John 3:16, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5)

We believe in the Holy Spirit:

We acknowledge the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, who dwells within believers, empowering them for godly living, equipping them with spiritual gifts, and enabling them to bear witness to Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:8, John 14:26, Matthew 28:19, Romans 8:11, Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

We believe in Salvation:

We affirm that salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by good works but is a result of God's unmerited favor towards humanity. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7)

We believe in the Church:

We recognize the Church (The bride of Christ) as the Christ’s body on the earth, comprised of all believers, and affirm the importance of gathering His family together for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and the proclamation of the Gospel. (Ephesians 1:22-23, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Corinthians 12:27, Acts 2:42)

We believe in the Great Commission:

We embrace the mandate given by Jesus to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the Gospel, baptizing believers, and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15)

We believe in Worship and Prayer:

We recognize the importance of worshiping God with reverence and joy, expressing our gratitude, surrender, and devotion. We value the power of prayer as a means of communication with God and seek to cultivate a vibrant prayer life individually and corporately. (Psalm 95:6, John 4:23, Philippians 4:6-7)

As Crossover Church ATL, we hold these core beliefs as foundational to our faith and strive to live them out in our daily lives as followers of Jesus Christ.
